Why were KinderMed Pain & Fever products recalled?
In 2023, we initiated a voluntary recall of our KinderMed Kids’ and Infants’ Pain & Fever products, out of an abundance of caution, after testing revealed acetaminophen instability. What health risks should I look out for regarding the KinderMed Pain & Fever recall?
As a result of the potential health risk with acetaminophen being outside of specification, the product may cause acute adverse health effects, including abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or jaundice at higher doses.
Are any other KinderMed products being recalled?
No other KinderMed products are impacted by the recall in 2023.
What are you doing to ensure this doesn’t happen with other products?

What should I do with the KinderMed Pain & Fever products I have?
If you have either KinderMed Infants’ or Kids’ Pain & Fever products from 2023 or prior, please discontinue use and return them to the store where you bought them for a refund.

Why is the age range of KinderMed Infants’ Pain & Fever 2-3 years?
The FDA defines the use of the term “infant” for the purposes of drug labeling as more than just 0-1 years old. To avoid confusion, that is why we specify that it is only for ages 2-3. Our Infants' Pain & Fever product also comes with a dosing syringe. This dosing syringe is needed to accurately and safely administer the product and there are specific directions to only administer the product pursuant to a doctor's prescribed amount for infants under the age of 2 years and/or less than 24 pounds.
Are KinderMed products free from the top 9 food allergens?
We are committed to ensuring our products are both safe and of the highest quality, which is why we are proud to offer KinderMed products that are gluten-free and free from the 9 major food allergens, including milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soybeans, and sesame.
Are KinderMed products safe for daily use?
While KinderMed products are designed to provide safe and effective symptom relief for infants and children, KinderMed is not intended as a long-term solution. Please refer to the Drug Facts section on your KinderMed package for complete usage directions. We recommend consulting with your primary health care provider for more information.
Is it okay to use KinderMed products after the expiration date?
We do not recommend using expired KinderMed products and cannot assure the effectiveness of the product past its expiration date.
How should I store my KinderMed products?
We recommend storing your KinderMed products in a cool, dry place at room temperature. Keep the products tightly
sealed and out of reach of children.
Can KinderMed be used while using other medications?
We recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before taking additional medications with KinderMed.
How can I ensure that I give my child/infant the correct dosage
To ensure you give your child or infant the correct dosage of KinderMed, please carefully follow the instructions on the product packaging. Use the provided dosing tool, such as a syringe or measuring cup, to measure the exact amount. If you have any questions or concerns about the correct dosage, or if your child has special medical considerations, consult your primary healthcare provider for guidance.
What is KinderLyte?
KinderLyte is a doctor-formulated Oral Electrolyte Solution (OES) made without any artificial additives including synthetic dyes, artificial sweeteners or artificial flavors.
What is the difference between KinderLyte and KinderLyte Advanced?
KinderLyte is formulated for children and families with eight kid-friendly flavors. For enhanced rehydration, KinderLyte Advanced formulation delivers 35% more electrolytes than our KinderLyte line, with less sugar and the added benefit of Pre-Max Prebiotics.
What are Pre-Max Prebiotics™?

Can I use KinderLyte if I’m pregnant or nursing?
We recommend that you consult with your physician before drinking KinderLyte to make sure it is right for you.
Why does KinderLyte contain dextrose?
KinderLyte contains dextrose because it plays a crucial role in enhancing hydration by providing essential carbohydrates. Dextrose, a simple form of glucose, aids in the efficient absorption of electrolytes, which promotes quicker and more effective fluid uptake. This makes dextrose a key ingredient for rapid hydration.
Our approach aligns with the science behind Oral Rehydration Solutions (ORS). ORS is a globally recognized method endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO) to address dehydration. By combining glucose and electrolytes in a balanced mixture with water, ORS stimulates fluid absorption and helps counteract dehydration. Thus, dextrose in KinderLyte supports optimal hydration and effective replenishment of essential nutrients.
How much KinderLyte should I give to my child?
To determine the appropriate amount of KinderLyte for your child, follow the serving instructions provided on the product packaging. If you’re unsure about the correct dosage or have any concerns, please consult with your primary health care provider for serving guidance.
How should I store KinderLyte?
Before opening, we recommend storing KinderLyte in a cool, dry place at room temperature or in the fridge. Once the seal is broken, we recommend refrigerating the product and using within seven days.
